Cameron Steiman has an MFA in creative writing and has published both fiction and non-fiction. She has over fifteen years of teaching experience in corporate, university, community, and high school settings. Cameron has taught Master’s level writing classes in Maine and in Ireland. Locally, she has taught several different writing classes for the Indiana Writers Center, including writing workshops and classes on National Novel Writing Month. As the Writers Center’s “Come Write-In” coordinator for National Novel Writing Month, she organized write-ins and worked with the local Municipal Liaisons (MLs) planning and running co-events. She is a five- time winner of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and a six-time winner of Camp NaNoWriMo.
In addition to her MFA, she has extensive coursework in computer science, and a combined MS degree in College Student Personnel Administration and Counseling. Cameron spent twenty years working in the software industry in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her writing is as eclectic as her academic background and includes cooking columns, mainstream fiction, and speculative fiction.
