"As a child I would check out stacks of books from the library with each visit. I distinctly remember discovering the Dragonlance novels in a Waldenbooks while travelling on a family vacation. Before the trip was finished I had read all 6 books in the series, and I was ready to find more books like them. Each time I found another author I liked, I would ask our local librarians to find me every book they could by that author."
"I began attending GenCon in 2009 and was delighted to discover that many authors I admired also attended. They sat on panels to talk about the craft of writing and would sometimes share interesting anecdotes from the process of writing their books. I found myself spending as much time attending symposium events as I did wandering the exhibition hall or playing games. Though I’m not a fiction writer myself, I love learning about the work that goes into creating a great story."
